Pascucci

Pascucci's activity began in 1883,when Antonio Pascucci decided to devote himself to the raw coffee trade. In 1935 Mario Pascucci, dedicated to the continuation of the work started by his father, opened the first family workshop, in Monte Cerignone, managed by his wife Domenica. It is the post-war period when Dino Pascucci, Mario's brother, opens his own café in Monte Cerignone and installs the first espresso machine, his specialties are coffee and sorbets.

In the 1950s Alberto Pascucci decided to industrialize roasting and installed the first production plant. In 1975 Caffè Pascucci dedicated itself exclusively to espresso, food distribution was abandoned to start the "quality coffee only" project.

The Pascucci Roasting Selects to date about 18 types of green coffees from all over the world, from national and international traders but also directly from plantations, with particular attention to organic quality coffees that follow a type of fair trade. The project was born in 2008 when congolese agronomist Diane moved for a time to Haiti in search of families of growers to conclude a new Growth project.

The Big Bio Haiti / Cocano Project

Big Bio Haiti is a project to market raw coffee grown and harvested by haitian farming families, with completely natural methods, respectingorganic farming. The main objective of the Pascucci-Montebello project, carried out in collaboration with Gino Girolomoni (one of the founding fathers of organic farming in Italy) is to ensure that coffee growers are paid a price that guarantees a correct remuneration of agricultural activities, improving the operational and organizational skills of the local community, providing technical assistance for the production and processing of coffee, strengthening skills in the field of management and monitoring in agriculture, improvingtraditional crops, introducing more modern coffee crops but always compatible with the territory, favoring a sustainable agriculture that aims to protect the environment through the rational management of productive resources.

With the free assistance provided by the Pascucci Agricultural Service, through the collaboration of agronomist Diane Nsengiyumva, growers are allowed to take advantage of a state-of-the-art training program and at the same time the company is guaranteed the quality necessary to obtain excellent coffee. By combining visits to farms and seminars, the agronomist is able to teach farmers techniques to improve quality by allowing greater profit. During training, work tools, such as gloves, boots, scissors and other equipment, are also provided. The use oforganic fertilizers to increase soil productivity is also taught. Staying in agricultural communities and a direct relationship with their way of working and living allows to achieve a relationship of trust and mutual exchange that are fundamental elements for the success of the project, which becomes much more important than a transfer of skills and knowledge.

This blend was born to meet the needs of all those who pay attention not only to the taste, but also to the history of the product they consume, its traceability, the social correctness of itsorigins, its history.
