Whole sea salt is harvested directly in the pristine Marsales salt pans according to artisan methods in use since the times of Phoenicians. It is dried in the sun and packaged. Unlike the normal sea salt on the market, which consists of about 98% sodium chloride, whole sea salt contains many other minerals indispensable to our metabolism, in ideal proportion and perfectly balanced with each other, such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, iodine, copper, fluorine, manganese, zinc and many others present in smaller quantities; Moreover, not containing additives, it can appear moist and lumpy, and its color is of different shades ranging from white to gray.
