Produced in Guatemala by ADISQUE Asociacion de Desarrollo Integral Sostenible de Quezaltepeque, an organization of small coffee producers (about 600) operating in about 13 local communities, in order to generate real economic and social development for its members, with particular attention to respect for the environment and at the same time the quality of the product.

ADISQUE with its action supports the economy of 813 families from 13 rural communities descended from the Chorti population, promotes gender equality,a culture of organic and fair trade product and the cultural growth of its members and their children by running training courses and elementary, middle and high schools open to the whole community.

El Puente coffee is imported and marketed by the Shadilly Cooperative of Fano, which for years has been dealing with fair trade coffee with commitment and passion, collaboratingwith small local producers also in Uganda and Haiti.

The Shadilly Cooperative,with its work, wants to make its contribution to the development of a new way of conceiving the economy and well-being by favoring the meeting between conscious consumers and small ethical producers in the countries of the South of the world, who must be guaranteed a decent income, organizing commercial relationships not focused on profit,but on respect, sustainability and ethics.
