The agricultural cooperative "la terra e il Cielo" was founded in 1980. It is therefore one of the pioneering experiences in the field of Italian organic production.
It is a cooperative of producers and workers. Currently there are a hundred associated companies that give the raw material, including many small companies in the Marche hinterland, which perform a very significant social and environmental protection function.

The aim of the cooperative is therefore to produce, transform anddistribute on the market products that are fully reliable in terms of quality and authenticity, that is, not chemically treated in any of the many phases between production and consumption.
Hence the particular attention not only in the examination of soils and cultivation methodologies, but also the care aimed at processing, the organization of a quality mark and finally the dissemination of these products.
The research and relaunch of old varieties of cereals and legumes,selected in the past mainly for quality and not exclusively for quantity, as is the case today, it has represented and represents one of the fundamental points of the quality of the products processed by the cooperative: such as the farro triticum dicoccum,particularly suitable for pasting, the world barley to toast, used in the past as a substitute for coffee, millet, durum wheat, Senatore Cappelli variety, cicerchia,considered in ancient times the legume of the poor.
The main product of "La Terra e il Cielo" is pasta,in 80 different sizes, wholemeal, semola, farro, Kamut and other specialties. The pasta is dried at low temperature,(temperatures never exceed 50°) with drying times ranging from 24 to 48 hours, depending on the type of format.
